For those of you who have struggled with going wherever it is you think you’d like to go, becoming whatever it is you think you’d like to be, having whatever it is you think you’d like to have – today is a new day, now is a new moment. Decide simply to be in this moment and let go of all that has preceded. Let go of all the disappointments, complaints, comparisons, ideas of what could or should have been and instead be in this moment with your body relaxed, your breathing regular, and as the thoughts arise telling you this or that, accusing you of this or that, just let them slide on by and focus instead on your breathing and relaxing.
Become aware of the sensations in your body apart from any meaning or interpretations. Though the thoughts may come, simply allow them to pass and bring your attention to the sensations. If you find it difficult to let the thoughts pass, direct them by asking “what do the sensations feel like?” that you are aware of in your body.
Take a few moments dto do this and go beyond typical labels and instead feel the quality of what you feel. You may not even need to describe it in your mind, but more to observe an be aware of the qualities of the sensations. Relax as you breath and continue this.
Now, simply repeat in your mind “allow, align, let go.” Repeat this as you breathe and relax.”
You can use this meditation at any time, in any situation, to bring you back to the present, centered and relaxed. Your awareness expands so you can engage your knowing – that part of you that is the true, timeless essence of who you are. This is what alignment is and this is how you navigate life in a way that assists you in consciously creating from moment to moment, choosing from a higher level of consciousness. As your awareness expands, you will be able to engage higher and higher levels of consciousness, but know it requires a dedication to practice… a vigilance to let go of the old ways of being and thinking and expand into ways that serve you better. When you are ready to release suffering, this is how you do it. Any practice can help you align, not just saying align, allow, let go. This is just a simple, direct way to do it. Your responsibility is to simply find practices that work for you and use them. The more you do, the more you are able to be here now and enjoy the moment. For your experience is your own creation. Choose how you want to create – consciously and blissfully through aligment, or unconsciuosly in in a way that is resistant to what is, causing suffering. It is always your choice. You choose through alignment or resistance.
This moment is yours to choose how you engage it. Always is.
And so it is.
